Is your child having difficulties at school or at home?

Are they trying their best but are still struggling academically?

Do they have trouble staying motivated? Are they overwhelmed or stressed?

Does your child need a push to get to the next level?

Is it important to you to raise a leader?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, this program is for you!

I already know I need this! Let's schedule the call!

I bet a part of you doesn’t want to admit it, but you often feel like you are not doing enough to make sure your child is successful in life, to prepare them for college, a successful marriage and a career.  Maybe you feel guilty when you don’t have that conversation you know you should have or when you avoid digging deeper. Maybe you are ashamed of being too busy, tired or disconnected to discipline them… invest your time like you should. You have a lot on your plate after all.

Or perhaps you are doing everything in your power, but it’s nearly impossible for you to get through to your own child because you are too close to the situation. Your son or daughter may not see you as the resource you know you are… and you know you can’t push too much because you’ll alienate them…

All these thoughts may be discouraging, and you have to face the fact that you don’t have a lot of time to help your child learn how to navigate life. Whether they are 12 or 16, they will be off on their own before you know it and you may regret for the rest of your life that you were reactive, that you weren’t intentional about helping them get the practical tools and skills they needed to be successful.

…or you can do something about it!

Today!

Don’t wait around another day hoping for a miracle, keeping your fingers crossed that they will “grow out of it” or “they will mature.” Days turn to weeks, months and years, and the habits your child forms will be hard to break. The good news is, being successful in life is a SKILL. It takes the right mindset, the right attitude and the discipline to take the right actions every day. Your child just needs the tools to develop these skills.

And we have just the tools!

Are you sick of watching your child struggle?

Then REV UP is for you.

Take the first step today!

The problem

Today’s kids and teens are facing major challenges with self-image, building relationships and navigating life. They don’t feel they have the power to change their lives.

Chances are, your child is operating reactively. They don’t have a vision for their life and haven’t discovered their true passions. Ultimately, they have no idea how to be proactive about their success.

We believe that by being intentional in guiding your child, you can help them acquire the skills they need to grow and live life confidently, with a plan and a purpose.

REV UP: Accelerate to Awesome is a transformational program designed to help youth and teens develop emotional intelligence to understand themselves and their environment, to establish good relationships, to discover their talents and passions and to set and achieve their goals and dreams, while cultivating their leadership skills.

Why youth coaching?

Maybe your child is struggling with academics, making friends, poor attitude or accepting authority. Or maybe they seem to be doing great at school and home but are stressed, overloaded with activities, shut down at home or don’t have plans for the future…

You want your child to be happy, healthy, loved, confident and ultimately, successful, but you may not know how to help them.

Our core belief is that with the right coaching (and support from you, the parent), kids can develop the skills and character traits that they need to be happy and successful in life. With our unique youth coaching program, our primary goal is to help your child develop emotional intelligence to carry them through life’s challenges.

Ultimately, we firmly believe that coaching is more cost effective than therapy.

Youth coaching is an investment into your child’s future and it’s a much more satisfying investment than paying for counseling, psychology sessions, or therapies. These methods don’t build a foundation; they are meant to fix the problems your child is already having and alter the behaviors that typically take years to develop. By that time, your child may become accustomed to these behaviors and habits and may be much more difficult to approach. Change and growth become more uncomfortable the older they get, and bad habits require more effort to break. You may end up with a rebellious child on your hands who at that point is questioning why all these behaviors you seemed to have been okay with are suddenly a problem…

How can a youth coach help my child?

Youth coaching is a branch of life coaching. A youth coach is specially trained and certified to coach young people, encourage personal development and help them set and achieve their goals while providing an outlet for their stress and anxieties.

A youth coach guides your child through the practical steps to creating new habits, thoughts, values, aspirations and needs so your child can lead a new, happier life. The coach will introduce your child to motivation, time management and stress management techniques and practice using these techniques with them. The coach will help your child identify and eliminate unhealthy beliefs and habits and replace them with new beliefs that will lead to success.

It’s also the coach’s job to give your child the practical tools to assess their environment, their feelings, where they are, where they are going and adjust the course whenever necessary.

FAQ

Do you guarantee results from your youth coaching?

Yes. We guarantee that if your child follows the plan we put in place and fully commit to the coaching program, they will get excellent results from their teen coaching. Every session, your child will learn a new technique and get an assignment to help them incorporate the new learning into their life.

Do you guarantee the privacy of my information?

Yes. We guarantee your family’s privacy and the privacy of you (the parent) and your child, individually. This means that will we never share any of your details with anyone without permission. Further, it means that we will not disclose the information you share with us to your child and vice versa. However, we do encourage your child to share information with you, especially if it’s important.

Who needs to sign a Teen coaching agreement?

If your teen is under the age of 18, you sign the agreement as a guardian. Adult children sign their own agreement.

Our comprehensive agreement is a way for us to show mutual commitment to each other and ultimately it’s all about your child getting results from youth coaching.

What is the difference between teen coaching and counseling?

Counseling focuses on the past. The counsellor identifies the reasons for your child’s feelings and behaviors and offers ways to address specific issues. Unfortunately, this often gives children an excuse to limit their ability to change (“I’m depressed” or “I have a problem”.)

Youth coaching, on the other hand, is future-focused. We do not dwell on excuses or reasons and instead focus on making the future better by learning to grow and be happy.

My child was diagnosed with a learning disorder or has developmental challenges. Will this program work for him?

Our youth coaching program will benefit your kids whether they have developmental difficulties or not.

How long will it take to complete the program?

The youth coaching program is broken into 25 modules that span from your assessing your learning style to leadership skills to academic success. Anne will assess your child over 3 different sessions, 1.5-hour each, write a detailed report and meet the parents for a 2-hour session to give them insight into their child’s emotional intelligence and processing abilities, including coaching tips to support their child at home. In most cases, this 2-hour parent coaching program is enough for parents to learn ways to support their child for years to come.  If another cycle is needed, then the youth coaching program will commence with 3 more youth coaching sessions followed by a parent session.

How long do the sessions last?

The first 3 youth coaching sessions are 1.5 hours in length and the coaching session with the parents takes 2 hours.

Can you coach kids?

Yes, we can! In fact, it’s easier to coach kids, because we get them started at an age when they can easily absorb a lot of new information and develop a positive belief system based on that. We adapt the program to the age and situation of your child, so they just learn naturally and have fun.

Will we meet in person?

We are located in Baton Rouge, LA.   Parents with kids come to us.  We meet kids at local coffee shops and at the local library, we make it a mutual decision.  We are also available for coaching via Skype for clients that live away.

How often do you meet with the parents?

With the youth coaching, we typically see your child at least a week apart to make sure we tap in the long term memory and examine the kids’ ability to learn new things and recall what they’ve learned, preferably at the same time of day and day of the week.  We only meet with the parents after the 3 youth coaching sessions.  I will send an email in between sessions with a parent guide and tips on how to best work with your child on some new skills that he is learning.

Our Values

We believe that leaders are made, not born  and all children have the potential to become exceptional adults with the right training.

We believe that it’s up to the parents to invest in their children’s coaching and mentoring to give them the best academic, social emotional and career opportunities before they leave home as young adults.

We believe that every child can benefit from coaching. Even if your child is doing well now, we can help them uncover untapped potential to help them become the best version of themselves.
